Johnson County Community College’s new upscale venue, Café Tempo, opened in the fall of 2007. The 110-seat Café Tempo is located within the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art. It also shares the glass atrium connecting the museum and the Regnier Center.

Café Tempo - Art on a Plate

The fare of Café Tempo, inspired by its museum setting, features seasonal salads using local produce, both hearty and healthy soups, perfect panini sandwiches, tantalizing flatbread creations, eclectic pasta specials, and fresh fish specials that are truly masterpieces.

The breakfast showing consists of homemade pastries, muffins and scones. Seasonal omelet and quiche specials appear daily, alongside crab benedict, stuffed french toast, and eggs any way you desire. Espresso drinks, fresh fruit displays, granola and seasonal beverages will be constants. Patrons can sit down and enjoy the pleasing natural light of the café or pick up a fresh to-go meal.

Executive Chef for Café Tempo is Tim Johnson, previously of Webster House Restaurant for 12 years, prior to joining JCCC Dining services staff in 2006. A fixture of success for Dining Services, Jan Affalter, is the manager.

Please note that reservations will be taken for parties of 6 or more patrons. To make a reservation, call (913) 469-8500, ext 4990.
