2018 KC Metro Arts Integration Symposium

Visiting Artists

Pre-Registration Required

Join us for this three-day symposium to explore the power of the arts in engaging students, strengthening comprehension, and bringing content areas to life.

Teaching artists trained by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts will inspire Pre-K-12 educators to integrate the arts into their curriculum in a meaningful, rigorous, and student-centered way. Through ongoing peer networking and support, educators will become reflective practitioners of arts integration and collaborative partners with one another and with local arts organizations.

Sessions Include:

Acting Right: Drama as a Classroom Management Strategy with Sean Layne
Scientific Thought in Motion with Randy Barron
Reading Art as Texts Across the Curriculum: Observe, Infer, Inquire with Melanie Rick
