Yoonmi Nam’s work considers cross-cultural experiences from growing up in South Korea and spending part of her youth in Canada. In her prints, drawings, sculptural works and installations, she uses familiar disposable objects and cut flower arrangements as subject matter and explores their materiality, ephemerality and persistence and the ways we structure our surroundings. Nam is a Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Kansas.

Third Thursday programs are supported in part by an Ovation Grant from the ArtsKC Regional Arts Council Fund of the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City.
