Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of JCCC’s First Gallery of Art

Beyond Bounds Envision 2020

A Benefit for the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art

Updated 6/25/20 2 p.m.

Our highly anticipated Beyond Bounds 20/20 – ENVISION! will still take place – however, by necessity, our event has been RE-ENVISIONED!

Once the museum and college reopen, currently planned for June, we plan a FIRST for Beyond Bounds. We will install the 180 “pearlescent” works as a temporary, multi-month exhibition for the summer. This longer timeframe will allow artists, patrons, students, and visitors ample opportunity to leisurely view the extraordinary works and also accommodate social distancing without interruption.

Installed within our expansive 1st floor galleries, select walls will be enhanced with pearlescent finishes to emphasize this year’s mediums. The show will be an inspiring and unique testament to the generosity and creativity of the many participating artists.

At the conclusion of this exhibition, currently planned for mid-September, we will proceed with an entirely online auction conducted by GiveSmart. This ensures that bidders may pursue their favorite works from the comfort of home or elsewhere. As we will not host a gala party (in consideration of current crowd/health restrictions) in conjunction with the actual auction, we have established new ticket rates (please see below). Hopefully, we can host a celebratory event at a later date.

Please know that the works we have received thus far are spectacular!!! We will be posting images to the Beyond Bounds website, once we return to the museum. Please watch the Nerman Museum website for future updates and announcements.

In this uncertain time, we are deeply indebted to the artists, collectors, and patrons of Beyond Bounds! Begun in 1992, this event has been enjoyed by almost 10,000 guests and has raised more than $1 million to support the Nerman Museum. Now, more than ever, we appreciate your unwavering generosity and embrace of the Nerman Museum. Thank you - from all of us at the museum and JCCC Foundation.
