Utopia/Dystopia Movie Night with Caitlin Horsmon
Come watch movies in The Salon!
Join us at The Salon on Friday, June 13, from 7-10 p.m. for this unique movie-going experience. The Salon will be transformed into a comfy slumber party-like zone and Artist and Film Professor, Caitlin Horsmon will host a Utopia/Dystopia themed movie night with a mix of shorts, features, and delightful commentary.
Horsmon is an award-winning artist, curator, and educator making films, videos, and installations. She is a former director of the artist-run space, Plug Projects, and a founder of Stray Cat Film Center. Caitlin was trained in Cinema, Comparative Literature, and Media Production at the University of Iowa and graduated from Oberlin College. Before her move to academia, Caitlin worked as the community outreach coordinator for The Chicago International Film Festival and was the director of the Thaw media festival.
This event is free, but space is limited, and RSVP is required.
Amy Kligman: The Salon for Possible Futures is on view in the Nerman Museum’s Oppenheimer New Media Gallery, Second Floor, March 28 through December 21, 2025.
