Bring a sketchbook or drawing project to The Salon on Saturday, September 6, 1-3 p.m. for an afternoon of collective making. Hosted by Salon artist and organizer Amy Kligman and her family, including Misha Kligman (Professor of Painting and Drawing at JCCC), Sam (11 years), and Jasper (6 years), this event welcomes artists of all ages. Drawing supplies will be provided!

The Salon for Possible Futures is an exhibition organized by Amy Kligman as an interactive space for community gathering and collective imagining. Themes of hope, magic, sustainability, human connection, and history are the underpinnings of The Salon’s assembled objects and imagery. Amy Kligman was the Executive Artistic Director at Charlotte Street Foundation from 2015 to 2025. For 20 years, she has worked as an exhibiting artist and grassroots curator/arts administrator, with a practice that includes studio and exhibition work, independent curating, and artist-run projects.

This event is free, but space is limited and an RSVP is required.
