Stop by the Nerman Museum on February 5, 6-9 p.m. for an artist talk and opening reception with Julie Buffalohead. The artist talk, led by Kendra R. Greendeer, will occur from 6 to 7 p.m. with a reception to follow.

Buffalohead received her BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis, MN and her MFA from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. She has received numerous awards and fellowships, including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant, and Guggenheim Fellowship.

Kendra R. Greendeer, PhD, Ho-Chunk and Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, is the Ihlenfeld Curator of Collaborative and Community Exhibitions at the Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Julie Buffalohead: Stories of Becoming will be on view in the Nerman Museum’s Barton P. Cohen and Mary D. Cohen Gallery, Second Floor, February 6 through July 26, 2026.
